Alexander is a designer working across theatre, opera and ballet.

His work explores the relationship between space, storytelling and audience experience.

​

Trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he has collaborated with directors and designers including Antony McDonald, Richard Jones, Tamara Rojo and Terry Gilliam.

His work has been seen at the Royal Opera House, Royal Court Theatre, The Old Vic, Theatre Royal Bath and English National Ballet, as well as internationally with the Canadian Opera Company, Park Avenue Armory in New York and the Bregenz Festival in Austria.

His designs for Katya Kabanova and Alcina at the Royal Opera House formed part of Olivier Award-winning productions.

​

Alongside his design practice, Alexander works as a scenic and costume graphic artist and has taught on Theatre Practice courses as a visiting lecturer, mentoring emerging designers.
